vacation. This is one of the most spacious and beautiful
places to stay in fashionable Camps Bay. A perfect
setting for film stars, business leaders and well-known
people who wish to have complete privacy and a high
standard of comfort. This is a villa where you can
entertain families and friends and celebrate special
occasions. It has been described by actress Meg Ryan,
one of the celebrity guests to have stayed as “a
magnificent location”. You will understand why, when you
stay here. The added bonus is the dedicated Butler who
manages the household, ensuring that all the guests have
everything they could need to make their stay the
ultimate dream holiday. For visitors staying for a
three-week period during the world cup period (June-July
2010), breakfast will be included – served by the highly

Tucked discreetly up a quiet residential road on the
slopes of Table Mountain, overlooking Camps Bay and the
deep blue Atlantic Ocean through the frame of the
ancient pine trees, this outstanding villa is approached
by a steep drive. The villa is built on two levels in a
1900sq.m garden with a mountain stream flowing through
it.
On the ground floor are double entertaining rooms with a
formal and informal lounge, a dining area, a small study
next to the large kitchen, a fully stocked bar and pool
table. Unique features include floors tiled with
exquisite Italian travertine and wooden shelves
throughout the villa. Surround sound music can be piped
throughout the ground floor and outdoor area. The living
area opens out on to a sheltered patio and the pool.
Downstairs is one double bedroom en-suite, upstairs is a
wide walkway with four en-suite bedrooms, a well
equipped gym with sea views, nine different balconies, a
small business centre and the cinema room.
Koi fish swim past, as you walk up to the imposing
pivot-swivel door made from rosewood and stainless
steel. On entering one is struck by the sheer size of
the villa. The double volume gives a feeling of
exceptional space and light.
Walk through the main door and you will see in front of
you the formal lounge, furnished with deep comfortable
sofas and armchairs surrounding the white-pebble gas
fireplace for cooler evenings. The double volume glass
walls look out seawards over the garden, and right
towards the infinity pool and patio. At night the lounge
is lit by soft overhead lights.
To the right of the entrance is the massive square,
12-seater, polished rosewood dining table, a unique
setting for gourmet dinner parties or large family meals
with views of the pool and the ocean framed by the pine
trees.
Behind the dining area is a rosewood counter which
separates the kitchen area and is a convenient place for
a quick breakfast. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee made on
the high-tech espresso machine. The fully equipped
kitchen has been created for the most demanding chef,
with stainless steel work surfaces, a five-plate Siemens
gas cooker, two Siemens ovens, a microwave, a large
walk-in cold room and top of the range appliances set in
rosewood cabinets. The scullery has a dishwasher,
washing machine and tumble dryer. At the side of the
kitchen area is a small glass walled reading room
looking on to the mountain slopes.
Next to the dining area is a second informal TV lounge
which has full-length glass sliding doors opening on to
the patio and pool area. A freestanding white pebble
fireplace divides the dining area from the informal
lounge providing a welcoming glow on cool winter
evenings.
Walking out of the informal living area you step onto
the tiled patio next to the infinity pool. There is an
outdoor table and chairs for relaxed meals. The built-in
barbecue and pizza oven are great for entertaining
informally around the pool.
Indoors at the far right end of the informal lounge is
the sunken bar and pool table. This looks out on to two
wooden bridges crossing the stream and a children’s
outdoor jungle gym. The bar is well equipped and has a
small fridge under the bar. There is a wine cellar and a
mirrored display unit well stocked with good liquor.
At the side of the bar area, steps lead to a double
bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Sliding glass doors open
on to garden and sea views. This bedroom has a dressing
table and comfortable armchair. The very
modern open-plan bathroom has a freestanding marble
tiled bath and glass walled shower. A freestanding
vanity basin and large mirror are set in solid rosewood.
Up the stairs are three sea-facing bedrooms in
contemporary designs and an oriental style bedroom which
has mountain views. All the bedrooms in the villa are
carpeted and have walk-in cupboards. The bathrooms in
the villa make use of glass walls to give views of the
spectacular surrounding scenery of the mountains and
sea. All the bathrooms have separate baths and showers.
Heated towel rails offer warm and fluffy towels.
At the far right corner of the villa is the spacious
master bedroom, it opens onto a sea-facing balcony.
There is a large double bed plus a separate day bed
which can accommodate a small child, next to the TV.
Behind the large bed is a dressing room lined with
cupboards.
The large en-suite bathroom is on the corner of the
villa and has a glass-walled shower looking out on to
masses of green foliage, it gives the impression of
taking an outdoor shower. From the other side of the
bathroom there are mountain views through the skylight.
The second and third bedrooms have sea-facing glass
patio windows overlooking a wrap-around balcony. On the
balcony there is a small patio with sun loungers for
catching up on some tanning while enjoying the sea view.
The en-suite bathrooms have separate baths and showers.
The large bath has lovely views over the trees to the
ocean beyond.
On this balcony there is a second area with an outdoor
table and chairs for relaxing. Looking down from the
balcony you can enjoy the scent of lavender growing in
the garden below.
The fourth en-suite bedroom has completely different
décor to the rest of the villa. It is decorated in a
traditional Chinese style, with soft red walls,
lacquered woods and delicate silk covers. The large
window opens on the mountainside of the villa and looks
out on to green foliage. The bathroom has a contemporary
design.
The upper rooms are all connected by a wide walkway. A
mini business centre is located at one end of the upper
level. The centre is equipped with a PC, printer, fax
and fixed line Internet access. Next to the
oriental-styled bedroom is the home cinema room which is
equipped with sound-proofing so guests can listen to
music really loudly and not disturb each other. A dvd
library is provided. Satellite TV and a play station are
also available. Large comfortable sofas provide a
relaxing environment to enjoy your favourite programmes
and films. There is a mini-bar for drinks.
At the left side of the upper level is the sea-facing,
well equipped gym for the guests who wish to exercise
regularly. Off the gym is an internal Juliette balcony
overlooking the formal lounge with a view of Camps Bay
beach in the distance and back along the walk way.
The villa has under-floor heating throughout to keep
guests comfortable on cooler evenings. High security is
provided by CCTV cameras, exterior 360 degree security
beams and many other high tech features to ensure
guests' peace of mind at all times.
Plenty of parking is available with four lock-up
garages. In total 14 cars can be parked at the villa.
The best thing about the villa is the service provided
by the full-time and highly professional butler. He is
always on hand to look after guests' needs and to ensure
a relaxed and comfortable stay. The villa has a daily
housekeeping service.
Should you require a full-time chef service this needs
to be booked in advance and is charged separately to the
guest’s account.
